My husband told me that I am so curry mad I should be writing about it.  I’m not talking about going out for dinner and having a wonderful restaurant style curry.  I’m talking about the one’s that are home made, that waft from a neighbours window, that take thought, time and love to prepare.

Curries for me are as individual as the mood I’m in that day or for the people I make them for.  No two curries are the same, no two days are the same and no two people are the same, so every curry should be fairly unique.  I love to start off with a basic idea usually based on a traditional curry and grow it to become a mouthwatering concoction that permeates your soul.  Sometimes the outcomes are not that happy, but there aren’t any mistakes, just adventures in curry land.

So here’s what I’ll be doing. Whenever I’m in the mood to cook up something hot and spicy I’ll document and share with you what I’m make and why.  It could be a weeknight dinner, leftovers in the veggie drawer or a special occasion, all have their merits. Malaysian, Thai, Indonesian, Sri Lankan, Burmese and of course Indian dishes will be on the menu.  Will they be something you can create yourself? Yes of course, that’s the point!

Once you start making your own curries there is no turning back, life is never the same and it’s a hell of a lot smellier.
